Overview
Wyoming’s statewide ESA—called the Wyoming Freedom Scholarship—provides parent-directed funds (up to $7,000 per K–12 student) for approved educational expenses like curriculum, tutoring, therapies, testing, and technology. The Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) oversees the program and hosts an ESA hub with the family handbook, expense guidance, and updates. Separately, families can choose district-operated virtual public schools (tuition-free public school at home), and many districts allow homeschoolers to access activities and part-time coursework under local policies.
Current status: WDE has posted that ESA payouts are temporarily suspended during ongoing litigation; always verify the latest on the WDE ESA hub before applying or purchasing.
