If you’re looking for a fun and easy project to brighten up your kitchen, making a bowl cozy is the perfect way to do it! I used scraps from my Bloom fabric line to make it extra colorful. This bowl cozy fits a regular cereal or soup bowl, adding both style and function to your mealtime. Whether you’re new to sewing or just need a quick and satisfying project, this bowl cozy is beginner-friendly and can be completed in no time!
This cozy is also great for storing notions like wonder clips, in-progress granny squares, pins, and other sewing notions too! Just because something is “meant” for the kitchen, doesn’t mean you can’t use it to add a little charm to your sewing room!

Materials You’ll Need:
- Sewing machine (or hand-sewing supplies if you prefer)
- Fabric: (2) Fat Quarters of fabric (you’ll need a different piece for the inside and outside)
- Insulated batting: 1/4 yard (ensure it’s microwave-safe if you plan on using your cozy in the microwave)
- Thread: Coordinating thread
- Point Turner
- Rotary cutter
- Scissors
- Pins or fabric clips
