One of the joys of homeschooling is making history come alive for our kids. What better way to explore the ancient Roman civilization than by creating a model of a Roman road? This hands-on activity combines history, engineering, and a bit of creativity to teach children about one of the most impressive achievements of the Roman Empire.
In our study of Ancient Rome, Josh and Megan enjoyed learning how to build a model of a Roman road. Brianna was in charge of the salt dough map, so I let Josh and Megan take charge of the road model.
